Description: Collection consists of original scores and various chart arrangements, band photographs, concert reviews, recording and performance contracts, advertisements, etc. Ray Herbeck (1910-1989) was born in Los Angeles and attended USC in the early 1930’s. He formed his band in 1935, and over the next 20 years performed at nearly ever major ballroom of that era. During WWII he made over 300 USO camp show appearances. His numerous recordings were issued on Vocalion, Columbia, and OKeh Records.
