E-mail response Time:

Whenever possible we will respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). Questions sent to us on a University holiday or over a weekend will not reach a librarian until the next regular business day.

E-mail and Chat Questions Answered:

This service is designed for E-mail and chat questions that only require a short answer, for example:

  • To get information on library services and facilities
  • To verify bibliographic citation information
  • To request addresses/phone numbers/websites for companies, associations, or government agencies
  • To seek assistance in accessing library databases

Questions for Which We can Provide Sources Only:

For other more complex questions, we will provide a source instead of a full answer, for example:

  • To locate factual information, such as statistics or biographical information
  • To ask for basic guidance concerning research on a specific topic

Excluded Questions:

Some questions may request services, which are excluded. For example:

  • To fax or send materials
  • To renew materials checked out from the library
  • To do detailed research or provide bibliographies.
