- 05/21/2008: The Web of Knowledge just launched many new features, such as ResearcherID, which will help researchers set up their own research portfolio without worrying about having same names with others. It is free for USC users. Please give a try!
- 05/20/2008: No night chat with S&E librarians during the summer. Ask-A-Librarian will be available as usual and 24 x 7 chat can help you during night hours.
- 05/07/2008: New Mac version of SciFinder Scholar 2007 is now available! This new version runs on Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) without using Rosetta. Please read the news from the CAS. If you want to access this new version on your Mac, please contact me!

Collections
- The Chemistry collection emphasizes the Chemistry Department's areas of specialization: Biological Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry. It supports the teaching and research through the doctoral level and beyond in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Chemistry Department, as well as specialized research centers, including the Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute , the Center for the Study of Fast Transient Processes, and the Laboratory for Molecular Robotics.
- The principal Chemistry collection is in the Science & Engineering Library; Infrequently-used materials, paper journals for which we have electronic access, USC theses and dissertations: Grand Avenue Library; New Chemistry Books are in the new books section on Floor One, to the right of the stairwell. New books may be checked out.
